The Trace Volunteer Fire Department has reached its $8,500 fundraising goal for a replacement outdoor warning siren near the water tower.

Chief Raymond Ives thanked campaign treasurer Jolene Cross and event volunteers Malik Foster, Beth Ann Rowan and Curtis Vance. The Trace Hardware jar drive contributed $614.27 to the final total.

Installation is expected before the end of July. Residents will receive notice before the first full-volume test.
